AI, and the people building with it

I’m working on Latent Space, AI Engineer, and Cognition, based in San Francisco.

Latent Space is where I write and have conversations about AI and the people building it. AI Engineer is where those conversations meet a community of practitioners. For more about my work at Cognition, start here.

Giving this site some attention

I’m revisiting this site’s design and organization: a more personal About page, a library that’s easier to browse, and a better home for talks, podcasts, and photos.

I want it to feel like a public notebook you can spend time in. Learn in Public is still a good introduction to that idea. The Coding Career Handbook is also now free and open source.

Making room

I’m not taking new advising inquiries. If you’re fundraising, my portfolio page explains my investment interests and the boundaries between investing and editorial work.
